The Team - Vivek Chandra & Geoff Widmer

Vivek Chandra and Geoff Widmer have formed an experienced team under the auspices of the AIPN to provide a niche a Petroleum Negotiation service to assist clients in the resolution of their commercial and technical disputes.

Vivek Chandra is the Principal of Kerogen Consultants, a boutique gas and energy advisory firm based in Melbourne, Australia. His extensive international gas experience includes roles as senior executive with a mid-sized gas-focused E&P company in Australia, founding a sovereign energy investment company in the Middle East, marketing gas produced & transported via an international gas pipeline company in the UAE, and promoting an LNG export project in Alaska. He has also served in a variety of technical, financial and commercial roles with ARCO International Oil and Gas Company and Schlumberger Overseas globally.  He is currently the CEO of Texas LNG LLC, a US company developing a mid-scale LNG export project in Texas, USA.

He has degrees from the Colorado School of Mines, University of Pennsylvania, the French Petroleum Institute, and Deakin University - and is a currently a Phd. candidate in International Law. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Association of International Petroleum Negotiators, Chairman of the Melbourne Petroleum Club, and member of Singapore Institute of Arbitrators.

Vivek is also the author of Fundamentals of Natural Gas, a bestselling hardcover book published by Pennwell, publishers of Oil and Gas Journal and other leading industry books and manuals. He runs regular executive training courses on natural gas commercialisation.  He is also creator of GasUnits, an iPhone/iPad & Android app for conversion of natural gas units and hosts regular industry seminars and LNGProjects, an iPhone/iPad app that gives details of over 85 global LNG projects. He also manages www.natgas.info, a natural gas & LNG information website.

Geoffrey R Widmer is the Principal in Palliser Group with qualifications of a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (Monash University) and an MBA (Queen’s University, Canada).  He is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Governance Institute of  Australia (Graduate Diploma Advanced Corporate Governance).  He is a member of the  Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and a Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Geoff has considerable Australian and international senior executive commercial experience in the energy sector covering asset commercialisation klonopin cost , commercial operations in the major Australian basins, international energy exploitation with differing PSCs in Asia, Americas and South America, M&A, business planning and downstream asset value-adding. He has also held many board and senior executive positions in the energy, infrastructure, NFP and technology industries.
